Challenge

The OS project study team needed help making their web design, enrollment, and study workflow relevant for a younger audience. As the UX/UI designer for Count Me In, I partnered with clinical research coordinators, patients, and loved ones to design the end-to-end study experience.

Outcome

Using co-design methods with OS patients and their families, I iteratively created the visual design, narrative flow and content on the study website. 200+ participants registered within the first year, and further funding was secured by the study team to deliver genomic results.

Physical Media

In addition to the digital study experience, I worked on physical print materials for participation and education.

While designing the brochure, I staged a photoshoot with the clinical research coordinator team to show both the diversity of the care team and the physical component of the mostly online study. After printing, the team re-created the photo to celebrate.

I wrote and designed label options and conducted a survey with the patient community to gauge interest in the designs and language used. The third label was the clear winner.
