I had the opportunity to illustrate the cover of Nature Medicine for a featured article on how patient-partnered studies are accelerating research of rare diseases.

The concept for this piece was the promise of remote, direct-to-patient research initiatives, and the opportunity of reaching diverse communities across the globe through patient-partnered research practices. Celebrating unique individuals while recognizing the power of grass roots organization to drive discoveries, I chose to illustrate these concepts in a hand-drawn, colorful style.
